Here’s a snapshot of who came to the Sydney Story Factory in our first six months of operation, from July – December 2012 (terms 3 and 4 and the October school holidays).
Number of student enrolments:  574

Number of student hours taught: 1,995

That’s an average of 3.5 hours close personal attention per student

Indigenous students: 115 or 20%

Our goal was 10-20%

Students from non-English speaking backgrounds: 255 or 44%

Our goal was 20-30%

Main feeder schools, primary: Darlington Public (15%); Our Lady of Mt Carmel, Waterloo (14%); Alexandria Park Community School (12%); Forest Lodge (11%).

Main feeder schools, high school: Alexandria Park Community School (45%); Tempe High School (23%); Cabramatta High School (11%).
